    Trail bikes, motorcycles, and all-purpose vehicles are the only vehicles permitted in the designated trail areas.

  2. 2. Perry State Forest APV Area

    State Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestrynear New Lexington

    Vehicles permitted in the all purpose vehicle area are off highway motorcycles, all purpose vehicles (four wheelers) and utility vehicles (side by side) with APV registration pursuant to ORC 4519.04.

    Riding
    Much of Perry State Forest was strip mined for coal prior to existing reclamation law, resulting in very rugged, sometimes barren terrain.

  4. 4. Hanging Rock OHV System

    National Forest Wayne National Forest, Ironton Ranger District

    This 26 mile trail system is designed primarily for ATV/OHMs.

    These trails wind through an area strip-mined in the 1960's and 1970's.

    The Pine Creek area of the Wayne National Forest provides some excellent opportunities for riding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and off-highway motorcycles (OHMs).

Permits and stickers

The state program

State Forest All-Purpose Vehicle (APV) Areas, run by Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry.

Four all-purpose vehicle (APV) areas are provided by the Division of Forestry for off-road motorcycles and all-purpose vehicles (with width of 62 inches or less).
