How we verify

Every number on MotoXSports says which document it came from, which page, and the day we read it. Anything we have not read in a maker’s document is left blank.

Three levels, shown on every value

Verified

The value is printed on a page of the maker’s owner’s manual or service manual for that model and year. The bike page names the manual, the page number and the date we checked it. Only this level earns the green seal.

Research

The value comes from the maker’s own spec sheet or official web page, not a manual. It is shown with its source and marked as research until a manual confirms it.

Not yet verified

No maker document we have prints the value. The field shows a dash and the words “Not yet verified”. We never estimate it, average it, or borrow it from a similar bike.

Which documents count

Only the maker’s own documents: owner’s manuals, service manuals, and official spec sheets or model pages. Magazine tests, dealer listings, forums and data aggregators are not used, even when they agree with each other.

A manual has to name the model years it covers. When a manual never prints its model year, we hold the record back until another maker document confirms the year.

Printed, not worked out

A value counts only if the page prints it. If a manual gives a final drive ratio but not the sprocket tooth counts, the sprocket fields stay blank, even though the counts could be worked out. Our calculators do that maths openly, labelled as a calculation, and they never write their answers back into a bike’s specs.

We do not publish torque values. A wrong torque figure can damage a part or cause a failure, so for those you go to the manual itself.

Parts by stock size

Parts pages list the stock size or stock spec from the bike’s record: chain, sprockets, tires, oil, coolant and springs. We say what the stock part is. We never say a part fits, because fitment depends on your exact bike, its year and anything changed on it since the factory.

State riding law

Each answer on an E-Moto Hub page restates the official statute or state agency text, in plain words. It shows the section, a link to the official text, and the date we read it. Where we have not read the official text, the answer is blank, and a blank never means a rule does not exist.

Every state page is due for a new review within 180 days of its last one. After that the page says “Review due” until it is rechecked, and the site will not build with a published state page more than 180 days past its last review. New states are drafted and read against the statute before they are published. The law pages are not legal advice, and local and federal land rules can add to them.

Pages kept out of search

A bike page stays on the site from the day it is listed, blanks and all. Until at least five of its ten core fields have a source, it is kept out of search engines. The core fields are front and rear sprockets, chain pitch, chain links, front and rear tires, fork and shock travel, seat height, and the one fluid that matters for the bike (oil capacity, premix ratio, or battery voltage).

Money never touches the data

There are no display ads on this site. Some pages may carry retailer links that pay us a commission. Retailers and sponsors never supply, choose or change a spec, a law answer or a stock size. The affiliate disclosure explains how the links work.

Fixing a value

Found a value that does not match your manual? Tell us the manual’s name and the page number. We read that page, correct the record if it differs, and the fix shows its new check date.
