What to check

Riding kit is chosen mostly for fit and comfort: pants that fit over your knee protection and boots, a jersey that fits over your chest protector, gloves that let you feel the levers, and goggles that seal around the helmet’s eye port.

Try gear on together. Protection worn underneath changes the size of everything that goes over it.

General guidance. Standards describe how gear is tested, not what it will do in a particular crash. Product picks appear only in buyer guides, where gear has been ridden and tested.
