Chad Reed was the most consistent in a field of crash-happy 450 contenders and allowed Kevin Windham and Davi Millsaps remove themselves from the lead. His patience and steady hand led to another victory and an increasingly large championship series lead.
In the Lites class it wasn't such a predictable outcome with a first-time victor emerging from the sludge. Jason Lawrence, who has been smoking fast but extremely unlucky the past several years, took a satisfying win over the rest of the 250Fers. Meanwhile, series leader, Ryan Dungey, suffered through a miserable night and is looking forward to finding another dry surface this weekend in Anaheim.
