Hey,
Just wanted to let everyone know what we have been up to. We have been making some changes to the web site and we are trying out some new things.
First: we are trying out a digg clone for moto news only. We really think that it could turn into something great for the motocross community.

Second: we are starting a page with live streaming video where we can get people to come and talk about things going on in the MX community.

Going forward with these projects takes time and support from our community, we thank you all for helping out with the site!

This is not moto related but it’s great for your experience at motoxsports.com and around the internet…

Mozilla’s just made the latest release of the Firefox 3 beta available for download. Mozilla says Beta 5 “includes more than 750 changes from the previous beta, improving stability and web compatibility.” Testers and those willing to live on the edge with Beta 5 will get speedier Javascript handling in webappps like Gmail and Zoho Office, better Windows/Mac/Linux integration, and an improved Places (bookmarks) organizer. After the jump, see the list of Beta 5 improvements pulled from the release notes.
- Integration with Windows: Firefox now has improved Windows icons, and uses native user interface widgets in the browser and in web forms.
- Integration with the Mac: the new Firefox theme makes toolbars, icons, and other user interface elements look like a native OS X application. Firefox also uses OS X widgets and supports Growl for notifications of completed downloads and available updates. A combined back and forward control make it even easier to move between web pages.
- Integration with Linux: Firefox’s default icons, buttons, and menu styles now use the native GTK theme.
- Places Organizer: view, organize and search through all of your bookmarks, tags, and browsing history with multiple views and smart folders to store your frequent searches. Create and restore full backups whenever you want.
- Speed: improvements to our JavaScript engine as well as profile guided optimizations have resulted in continued improvements in performance. Compared to Firefox 2, web applications like Google Mail and Zoho Office run twice as fast in Firefox 3 Beta 5, and the popular SunSpider test from Apple shows improvements over previous releases.

Hello all!
I just installed the blog the other day and have been setting it up and playing around with it. I am still working on the design of the blog but I wanted to get out a quick post as to what this is going to be and why are we blogging here.
My main reason as of right now for the blog is to provide a better forum to talk about site updates and what is going on with Motoxsports.com. I add new features to the site all the time and I am going to post about it here. Also I was thinking of sharing some thoughts with our readers and also looking for readers to share thoughts as well.
In the future I would like to get some guest writes to talk about there experience with our sport and anything else MX related.
This blog will be my playground for the next few weeks as we get the blog off the ground. If you have any comments on the site, message board, and blog please feel free to comment.
PS. I am still trying to get BrownDogWison to blog on motoxsports also!
Thanks,
Mike
